Idisambaar - what does that mean? :P




I know it’s an  unusual name and your confusion is justified. :P  . It’s a special dish made on Pongal festival  at Thirunelveli and the regions adjoining it .  No instant sambaar mixes here. The spices are all freshly fried and ground well by crushing with a mortar , hence the name Idisambaar.

Why did I name my blog as such?

No big deal really.  It was the first thing to cross my mind when prompted with a title for the blog. Just like idisambaar which contains a wide array of vegetables , I wish to write on a multitude of topics and hence the name. I wish to post useful things henceforth.
